Videoslots Casino Review

Videslots.com was established in 2011, setting itself apart from its competition with a strong brand name and sovereign games for everyone. The result was a globally known and respected brand being created. Emphasising as much attention on its game titles as its payment methods, Videoslots are creating an invaluable gaming experience for players

Offering over 2300 games from many industry leaders, there’s plenty to attract both new and experienced players to Videoslots.

Bonuses & Promo

Bonuses & Promotions

Too often, I come across bonuses with obscene wagering requirements for little reward. Videoslots is a rare example of an online casino that not only offers its players a generous reward, but also provides reasonable terms and conditions.

A deposit bonus worth up to £200 is on the cards — with the minimum barrier for entry being £10. Another handy quirk to the offer is that you don’t need to claim it immediately, as Videoslots gives players 30 days to jump on board. A wide playthrough window of 60 days — starting from the moment the bonus is activated — grants players two months to meet the 35x wagering requirements. To be clear, this translates to wagering 35x the amount of your first deposit — so a £10 transfer would require £350 worth of bets.

On the other end of the scale, £200 deposits incur a wagering requirement cost of around £7,000. I implore new Videoslots players to examine your bankroll before throwing wads of cash at this bonus — the £200 reward targets high-rollers.

And while there are better alternatives for players with smaller budgets on other platforms — such as Bet365 Casino’s 50 free spins for £10 — I view £350 as a reasonable minimum sum to get through over 60 days. That said, it’s not worth chasing if you’re not used to spending that amount of money.

Before moving on, I should note that the Videoslots welcome bonus is paid incrementally — at 10% per earning. Albeit a decidedly odd choice, the result is a consistent flow of cash added to your account during the promotional period.

Design & Usability

I’ll cut to the chase: design is Videoslots’ weakest point. The content is scaled awkwardly, so much so that it forces users to forget everything we’ve learned about how websites should look over the last decade.

Videoslots simply fails to make the most of the real estate afforded to modern websites. The site’s content is squished together and downsized as though it were developed solely for mobile. Mass sections of the screen are content-free – and the areas that do provide content aren’t particularly well put together.

Nevertheless, it’s not the design that makes an online casino — it’s the games. Despite its lack of polish, Videoslots is surprisingly easy to navigate.

Software

If not for the helpful ‘Filter by Provider’ box, sifting through Videoslots’ ocean of software providers would’ve been a thankless task. Partnered with 150+ software developers in total, Videoslots hosts a galaxy of software providers based all around the world.

Big outfits like Yggdrasil, Red Tiger Gaming, Relax Gaming, Barcrest, Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Playtech, Big Time Gaming, IGT, and Microgaming all make an appearance – just to name a few. If you can think of a gaming studio, one of their games is likely published on Videoslots.

Now, most of the studios mentioned — as well as those not included in the list above — specialise in slots. Upon venturing to the live casino area, I discovered a lack of variety in terms of software. Just four providers supply live casino action — Pragmatic Play, Playtech, Evolution, and Authentic Gaming — although it’s just a fact that there are more studios producing high quality slots than live dealers.

More important than anything else is the unquestionable talent within the studios associated with Videoslots. I’ve reviewed many casinos over the years, but I don’t recall encountering such an impressive collection of games on one site.

Games

At the heart of Videoslots is a determination to provide top-quality, exciting, and popular casino games. Such a goal is evidenced by the sheer number of titles on show, with upwards of 7,000 unique games published on the website.

Most of the games fall under the ‘Video Slots’ bracket, which makes sense considering the name of the platform in question. Be diligent when filtering through different games, though. While just seven projects sit in the ‘Slots’ section, thousands of games reside under ‘Video Slots’.

Videoslots made sure to include the likes of ‘Book of Dead’, ‘Big Bass Splash’, ‘Starburst’, and ‘Wanted Dead or a Wild’ among its extensive range of slots. Filtering through these and similar games is easy, particularly when you take advantage of the various options – like ‘Popular’, ‘A-Z’, and ‘Providers’. Plus, the game filter provided easy access to branded games, expanding wilds-based games, games with bonus rounds, and more.

Blackjack, roulette, scratch cards, and a handful of video poker titles appear on Videoslots, too. This is topped off by a vibrant live casino — brimming with all your usual favourites, such as live roulette, game shows, and other hot picks.

Similar to the tremendous number of top-class software providers working with Videoslots, the casino offers numerous payment methods for bettors. Most of the regulars are here, including debit cards, PayPal, Paysafecard, Skrill, and Neteller – but the majority of options are notably niche. Zimpler, JCB, Flexepin, Kwick Go, and Vega Wallet are all lesser-known payment options in the online casino space.

The site is also bolstered by CashtoCode, Euteller, Giropay, Klarna, and InstaDebit – with most e-wallets and cards accepted. Surprisingly, there’s no mention of bank transfers anywhere among Videoslots’ plethora of transaction methods.

Payout speeds are no quicker or slower at Videoslots compared to competing operators. E-wallet withdrawals should be processed within 24 hours, while card payments could take up to five working days. Frustratingly, UK players are restricted from withdrawing via debit cards on the site, despite deposits using Visa and Mastercard being permitted.

Players have one fee-free withdrawal per day. Further withdrawals incur a charge of £2.50 per transaction, while a 3.9% fee applies to withdrawals where the deposited cash hasn’t been wagered. As I believe that withdrawals should always be free, I was extremely disappointed to learn of Videoslots’ transaction fees.

Sky Vegas, Bet365, Unibet, William Hill, 10bet, and Betway are all successful online casinos in their own right, and not one of those platforms charges players for processing a withdrawal. Videoslots is a good product, but the team should invest more time in the user-friendliness side of things.

Mobile Experience

Remember when I said Videoslots’ desktop platform felt as though it were solely designed for mobile? Well, the mobile casino proves my point.

My screen is no longer empty on the right and left-hand side. The hideous wheel-shaped figure is gone, as is the gloomy deep red backdrop. There’s almost no doubt that the team at Videoslots is far more focused on making improvements to its mobile casino, which is fair enough considering that’s how most users will be accessing the site.

Journeying from one area to the next is a whole new experience on mobile thanks to the newly implemented side menu. With this, I’m free to check out seasonal games, read news, participate in tournaments, visit the live casino, or refer to important legal information and T&Cs if necessary.

If you’ve been let down by the Videoslots desktop experience, I highly recommend giving the site a second chance on mobile. It’s an ideal alternative and feels like the natural way to enjoy the online casino.

App Review

Videoslots doesn’t currently have an app.

Summary

Videoslots is a site of two halves. On one hand, the PC version of the casino is bereft of design ideas, and is obviously from a bygone era. Whilst the huge number of games and developers goes some way to making up for the site’s issues, the reality is that very few bettors will feel inspired by the Videoslots site.

On the flip side, the mobile site is highly competent. The UI is far more user-friendly, and makes it much easier to find and play your favourite games thanks to the intuitive side menu. There are also thousands of mobile-compatible games provided by world-renowned iGaming studios.

Yet, Videoslots for mobile isn’t perfect. Withdrawal fees, for one, are unacceptable in this day and age,

Pros

  • Thousands of games — Videoslots provides access to over 7,200 games across various genres.
  • Constant competitions — Test your competitive edge at Videoslots with at least three active tournaments at any given time.
  • Choose any payment method — Comprised of 26 payment methods, you’re never short of options at Videoslots.
  • Accessible welcome offer — A bonus of up to £200 is available for all players – with minimum qualifying deposits starting from £10.

Cons

  • Outdated UI — The interface looks straight out of 2007 and desperately needs updating.
  • Forces new players to deposit — New accounts are only activated once the first deposit is processed.
