Jammin Jars 2 plays a little differently to your typical video slot. It’s set on an 8×8 grid of reels and, rather than traditional paylines, utilises a cluster pays mechanic. In order to score a win, you need to land five adjacent symbols — the shape doesn’t matter, as long as the five are connected. We think it makes an entertaining alternative to the usual payline set-up, and the excitement is bolstered by an avalanche mechanic that replaces winning clusters with new symbols for a chance at chained wins.

As for the RTP, which stands for return to player, it’s pretty solid. RTP is the percentage of money paid in that’s paid back out as winnings to players. While Jammin Jars 2’s RTP is advertised as 96.4%, you should know the game starts out at 96.1%, with a 0.10% increase for every level you progress through when collecting the golden vinyl. In any case, this is still a reasonable number — we’d consider 96% RTP the middle ground for slots.

The game is pretty much identical across mobile and desktop, although the game is better suited to larger screens — the 8×8 grid means the symbols are already smaller than a standard five-reel slot.

You’d be forgiven for thinking anthropomorphic jars on a dance floor is a little off the wall for a slot theme — we did too. But once you play the slot, you’ll be instantly endeared by the colourful presentation and cheerful mood. While fruit is somewhat overdone in the world of slots, the crisp, bright graphics avoid Jammin Jars 2 from feeling stale in any way. Fluid animations are underscored by simple but effective sound design, and a pumping disco beat serves as background music.
