The first thing you’ll notice when you spin the six reels of Dynamite Riches is that the number of symbols on each reel varies between two and seven. That’s because of the Megaways mechanic — it comes with the potential for 117,649 total paylines, with this number changing between each spin.

The RTP of the game is 95.75%. RTP means return to player, and it’s an estimate of how much a slot pays out over time. In this case, it means for every £100 paid into Dynamite Riches, £95.75 is theoretically returned to players. However, it’s important to remember this number is calculated over millions of spins so it won’t bear out during a real session. As a typical rule, 96% is the rough average for slots games, but generally speaking, the higher the better — Dynamite Riches falls slightly short in this regard.

As for the volatility, it’s medium to high which means a mixture of small wins at higher frequency and bigger wins at lower frequency, so Dynamite Riches Megaways should suit most budgets.

The feature unlock mixes things up, but they don’t offer much value to players who prefer shorter sessions, as you need to land 15 wilds to unlock each new feature. To play with all four, 60 wilds need to show up on the reels in total, which could take some time. If you’re a stickler for bonus features but you’re on a smaller bankroll, you might prefer a title where they’re available immediately in the base game.

We only have good things to say about Dynamite Riches Megaways on mobile and tablet. The game is built with HTML5, so it runs flawlessly on both the latest devices and older models, whether you’re on Android or iPhone. The animation is just as smooth and the graphics just as sharp — no compromises have been made here at all.

One very subtle difference is the feature unlock meter. On mobile, it’s represented with a fuse slowly burning to the dynamite. It’s a fun quirk we wish was replicated in the desktop version, although it has no effect on gameplay.

Again, it’s hard to knock any aspect of Dynamite Riches’ design. Red Tiger has really hit this one out the park — despite its dank underground setting, the game is bright and colourful, with gemstone card symbols paying the lowest and illustrated graphics of mining equipment paying the highest. Animations are fluid and the game is free of lag.

Jaunty banjo music soundtracks the game; a more subdued arrangement plays in the background but the pace picks up once the reels are spinning. While a banjo sound is certainly an acquired taste, Red Tiger have pulled this off stylishly, and it doesn’t get annoying during long sessions.
