Design & Usability

If you’re already familiar with other Aspire Global casinos, MagicRed will look pretty familiar. Several navigation bars are used to switch between RNG and live casino games, reach promotions, and sort between categories.

Unfortunately, usability is what currently lets MagicRed down. Most of the filtering options either turned up irrelevant results — such as a large number of slots in the table games section — or simply didn’t work. We also noticed some lag while using the search feature. We’re hoping these shortcomings come down to it being early days for the casino, and that navigating the library improves over time.

As for the design itself, there’s nothing particularly captivating about MagicRed — but for many players, there doesn’t need to be. We’d much rather see a simple site where it’s easy to understand what you’re looking at than a busier, messier experience. The minimal red and white theme is easy on the eye, and helps the colourful thumbnails stand out as you scroll through the games.

Software

There’s a solid range of software providers behind the library at MagicRed. Most of the big names are ticked off, including NetEnt, Microgaming, and Play’n GO. We’re glad to see smaller developers like Hacksaw Gaming and Nolimit City in the mix too, adding variety to the slots on offer. Meanwhile, a handful of live dealer games arrive courtesy of Evolution and Pragmatic — among the best in the business.

Fans of slots, table games, and live casino are all well served at MagicRed. Let’s get into the detail.

Slots

As with most casinos flying the Aspire Global flag, MagicRed carries a fantastic collection of slots. The most prominently displayed titles are some of the best known — the likes of Starburst, Book of Dead, and Wolf Gold — but scroll down and there’s a wealth of newer games to explore.

While there’s a separate section for jackpot games, we do wish MagicRed offered more ways to filter the library. As it stands, there’s no way to narrow the selection down beyond searching for a specific game.

Table Games

We’re pleased to see MagicRed reasonably well equipped when it comes to table games. Blackjack fans are catered for thanks to classic and multihand titles, along with regional variants like Vegas Strip and Downtown, plus Atlantic City blackjack.

The roulette offering is solid too, with a good number of classic European and American titles. Players on smaller budgets needn’t miss out either, thanks to the inclusion of 10p and 20p Roulette games.

The rest of MagicRed’s table game library is a little sparse for now. We couldn’t find any craps or sic bo games, though there is a solitary baccarat title from Microgaming. As with the live dealer catalogue, we hope to see more table games arrive at MagicRed over time.

Live Casino

There’s currently a small selection of live dealer games at MagicRed. The numbers may not be huge, but the titles come from Evolution, Pragmatic Play, and Microgaming — names that are highly regarded in the live casino space.

All the various categories within the live dealer library are in place — from live roulette and blackjack to game shows and even live poker. We expect more titles to be added over time, bringing MagicRed into line with the offering at other Aspire Global sites. After all, this casino hasn’t been off the ground for long.

The cashier is one of MagicRed’s stand-out features, with a fantastic selection of methods supported for both deposits and withdrawals.

Visa and Mastercard debit cards are supported, and will be the method of choice for many players. But e-wallet coverage is strong too, with PayPal, Skrill, and MuchBetter all present. Neteller is missing, though e-wallet users will likely be happy with one of the above.

If you’d rather keep your banking details private, Paysafecard and AstroPay are your two prepaid options — with the latter doubling up as an e-wallet for withdrawals.

Speaking of withdrawals, speeds vary at MagicRed. No method is guaranteed to land instantly, but same-day cashouts are possible, though you’ll likely wait a few days if you’re not withdrawing to an e-wallet.

In terms of improvements, we’d love to see MagicRed add a pay-by-mobile option such as Boku or Payforit. But with so many other bases covered, this is a minor gripe rather than a real issue.

Support Options

MagicRed Casino delivers a fair standard of customer support. Players have two options — live chat and email, available from 08:00–00:00 CET, seven days a week. Those hours should line up with when most players are active on the site.

There are a couple of areas to improve. First, access to live chat isn’t made obvious: it’s not available from the ‘Contact Us’ page and instead has to be found via the FAQs. Email support runs through a web form — not a problem in itself, though a direct address to contact would be a welcome addition.

We don’t doubt that MagicRed has its players’ backs — we just wish it were a little easier to get in touch without having to hunt around.

While there’s no native casino app to download for on-the-go play, MagicRed is fully compatible with mobile devices thanks to an optimised site built with HTML5. Simply head to your mobile browser and type in the address.

We tested the site on Safari for iOS and it responded well. Navigation was snappy and browsing the sizable library was manageable, even on a smaller screen. The same filtering quirks from the desktop version are here, which does make finding games a little more awkward. The good news? You’ll get access to the same great selection of games no matter what device you’re playing on.
