Intro

The base game takes place on a simple 5×3 grid, comprising 20 fixed paylines. Players will spin the reels and hope to build winning combinations from left to right, making use of a number of famous symbols from the original Monopoly board. Wilds are in play during the base game, substituting for all symbols other than the Big Monopoly Event symbol.

Look out for the Go to Jail symbol during the bonus – if this appears, the lowest-paying symbol, which starts off as the 10, will be locked out of all subsequent spins. If the Jail symbol appears again, it will wipe out all the jacks, and so on.

Despite this, the design of the base game could be a little more interesting. There’s a Monopoly board that’s just about recognisable in the background, and the reels feel a little overly mechanical and dated. We also think the soundtrack could be improved, which only plays the same few bars when the reels are spinning – we’d like something else to fill the silences in between.
