Plaza Royal takes its name from one of the largest brick-and-mortar casinos in Las Vegas, and the site’s design takes much of its inspiration from this theme. I enjoy the backdrops of Sin City, which gives the whole playing experience a kind of elevated feel. It’s not an original concept – there are plenty of online casinos with a similar design approach – but it does create an exciting atmosphere on site.

There are three main categories on the homepage – Casino, Live Casino and Promotions – to help players navigate across the site. It’s clear, easy to use, and aided by a helpful search bar for those who know exactly what they’re looking for. I’d like it if this search bar could be used to filter specific game developers as well, but this is only a minor complaint.

Plaza Royal’s games catalogue is a who’s who of the biggest software developers in the iGaming industry, with hundreds of games supplied by Microgaming, NetEnt, Play’n GO, Blueprint Gaming, Evolution, Playtech, Pragmatic Play, and many more.

I’d personally like to see a few more big names in this list – in particular, Nolimit City and Yggdrasil are two of my favourite developers, and I was quick to notice their absence at this casino.

Nevertheless, Plaza Royal’s partnerships with software developers is plentiful, with room given to the biggest names in the business and to smaller studios too, such as NeoGames, Booongo Gaming and Cadillac Jack. It’s essential that studios like these are given the chance to shine at high-quality casinos like Plaza Royal, where they can endear themselves to new players and broaden their network and reputation.
