Griffon Casino Review

Bonuses & Promo

Bonuses & Promotions

Griffon Casino’s welcome offer for new players is all about free spins for slot games. Spread over three deposits, there are 200 spins up for grabs in total. Here’s how to claim them:

  • First £20 deposit – 50 spins on Book of Dead
  • Second £20 deposit – 50 spins on Starburst
  • Third £20 deposit – 100 spins on Fire Joker

Any winnings from the bonus spins are subject to a 35x wagering requirement. That means if you won £10, you’d need to wager a further £350 of your own cash before the winnings from the bonus spins could be withdrawn.

Although 35x wagering requirements are common, they reduce the true value of the offer as many players won’t be able to complete the requirements within the 21-day time limit. Still, this will likely be an attractive welcome offer for slots fanatics, as well as for newbies who can get to grips with how the games work and how often you can expect a payout.

That said, given there’s no matched deposit bonus credit up for grabs here, I’d opt for a free spins bonus with lower wagering requirements and smaller minimum deposits. PlayOJO, for example, offers 50 free spins with your first £10 deposit, with no wagering whatsoever. At Betfair, you get 50 no wagering free spins just for signing up, with an additional 50 available if you deposit £10. You’ll also get a week to use the spins rather than just one day at Griffon.

There isn’t much to shout about in terms of promotions for existing customers at Griffon, but Pragmatic Play’s Drops & Wins promotion is running throughout the year, with £500,000 in prizes up for grabs every month on selected games.

Design & Usability

For me, the design of Griffon Casino is one of its key strengths. As soon as I loaded up the site I was struck by its premium feel, complemented by engaging graphics that are centred around the griffon itself, a legendary creature with the body of a lion and head and wings of an eagle.

In a practical sense, Griffon’s layout also impresses. Although other sites like Hyper Casino offer a greater range of gaming categories, Griffon does provide some useful options, such as live casino, jackpots and Drops & Wins. Plus, once you’re in the live casino category, you can then browse roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and more.

The standout feature is the provider filter, which I’m always pleased to see. It allows players to browse games by particular studios — ideal for learning which developers are your favourites and for finding similar games to the ones you like.

What’s frustrating is that there isn’t an option to easily browse RNG table games. Personally, I prefer to play the likes of blackjack and roulette solo, rather than in a live setting, so I’d like to see Griffon make it easy to locate these types of games.

Software

Griffon Casino brings together a whole host of industry favourites that are renowned for producing top quality slots and online casino games. Big names featured include NetEnt, Microgaming, Play’n GO, and Pragmatic Play.

Plenty of smaller studios are included too, such as Redrake and Skywind, both of which contribute a range of bright and colourful slots. For even more variety in terms of mechanics, bonuses and themes, I’d like to see some Novomatic and Nolimit City games added to the site.

The 116 live games on the site are all provided by Evolution, which can only be a good thing given it’s the leading developer of this genre. After jumping on to some live tables, I was impressed by the crisp graphics and professional, engaging hosts. Games are live streamed in HD from purpose-built studios around the world.

Games

In all, there are over 1,800 games available to play at Griffon Casino, which is certainly on the upper end in terms of quantity. There’s an impressive range of mechanics, bonuses and themes in the slots section, covering everything from ancient Egypt to outer space. Alongside crisp new titles are classics like NetEnt’s Starburst — I was particularly pleased to see its modern revamps included, namely Starburst XXXtreme and Slingo Starburst.

A search for Megaways slots brings up 77 results from a variety of developers such as iSoftBet and Blueprint. These slots do away with traditional paylines, with anywhere from 2 to 7 symbols active on each reel at a time. Megaways slots also offer some of the largest payouts, along with progressive games you’ll find in the jackpots section — Starlite Fruits Mega Moolah, Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah and Immortal Romance Mega Moolah all feature.

As for the live casino section, there are 166 games available covering a wide range of styles. There are loads of game shows to jump into, including Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, and Dream Catcher. I was keen to check out some roulette games and was impressed by how much was on offer. The Live Roulette tab reveals 59 games including Auto Roulette, Yellow Atom Roulette, and Immersive Roulette, which makes use of additional camera angles to bring the action to life.

Typing roulette into the search bar revealed the RNG titles, which are plentiful despite not being so neatly organised. I was particularly pleased to see G. Games’ 10p Roulette, which is ideal for new players starting out with small stakes. Alongside that we have Inspired’s 20p Roulette and Switch Studio’s Ultra Warp Roulette, which has some of the best graphics I’ve seen.

Keen to try something else? There’s plenty more to enjoy when it comes to blackjack, baccarat, sic bo, slingo, and more.

Cashier

Griffon supports an excellent range of payment methods to suit different preferences. Visa and Mastercard debit cards are joined by a variety of e-wallets including Neteller, Skrill, PayPal, MuchBetter, Payz, and AstroPay. Trustly is another handy option if you’d like to pay directly from your bank account without sharing any card info.

It’s encouraging that payments can be delivered instantly once a customer’s account is verified. I used Skrill for my first deposit and withdrawal and received my cash within 24 hours. There are lots of options for fast payouts, so it’s unlikely players will be waiting around long for their funds to land.

Payment Method Deposit Time (Days) Withdrawal Processing Time (Business Days)
Visa/Mastercard Instant 0–6
Wire Transfer 0–3 2–6
Neteller/Skrill/PayPal/MuchBetter Instant 0–2
Trustly/Instant Banking Instant 0–4

Mobile Experience

Griffon Casino’s 1,800-strong games library is fully available to play on mobile, so I was pleased to have access to all my favourites on the go. The layout and design is much the same as it is on the desktop site, with the provider search and various subcategories all available. I found the mobile site a little less responsive, but overall it was still relatively smooth and easy to use.

App Review

Griffon doesn’t currently offer an app, so you’ll need to load up the browser on your phone to access the site when you’re away from your laptop.

Summary

There’s a lot that I like about Griffon Casino, so I’m pleased my initial impression has been backed up by a top-notch service. The range of games featured on the site is very good, with lots of top software providers included in the catalogue. I love being able to browse games by different studios, although some additional filtering options wouldn’t go amiss.

Griffon Casino’s games are operated by AG Communications, so the site shares similarities with other sites that operate on this model like Luckster — a casino certainly worth checking out if you want a more happy-go-lucky website theme and matched deposits included in the welcome offer.

It’s a shame not to have the option to download a dedicated Griffon Casino app, but thankfully the full range of games is available on the mobile site, which looks almost as slick as its desktop counterpart. 24/7 live chat support is another big plus, along with a wide range of fast withdrawal payment methods.

The welcome bonus is a bit of a mixed bag. Although it’s great to have as many as 200 free spins up for grabs when you sign up to the site, I feel there are better-value deals out there that are less demanding when it comes to minimum deposits and wagering requirements.

Overall, however, I’d certainly recommend Griffon Casino to anyone looking for a new and exciting site with an excellent repertoire of games.
