Tiki Beats from Eyecon makes for a wholly enjoyable gameplay experience. The game runs extremely smoothly on an uncomplicated 5 x 3 reels and rows setup, with standard slot symbols like 9s, 10s, Js, Qs, Ks and Aces alongside various Tiki totems. The RTP rate comes in at 95%, which is slightly below average which might discourage some players, but Tiki Beats also benefits from medium volatility, which we think is the ideal balance. For those who don’t know, volatility refers to the regularity with which payouts occur, and how big they are likely to be when and if they come, so medium volatility gives players a more balanced gaming experience.

The toucan then flies across the top of the reels to reveal five separate prizes that can amount to a total of 500x your total wager.

We want to give a special mention to the sound design on Tiki Beats. The sound effects of the reels spinning and slotting into place is extremely satisfying, and there’s some great Hawaiian chanting when a win comes through. Some players might note the lack of a traditional slot soundtrack, but we love the distant pounding of drums that provides a backdrop for this game. It’s subtle and deeply immersive, which are two qualities we seldom attribute to slot games. Of course, when you form a big winning combination this amps up a bit, but the faint build up to these moments really serves to enhance that sense of anticipation.
